Anvil Customs Leather Blog

Anvil Customs many moons ago gained some of our most OG friends by heading to a little chopper rally in North Carolina called "The Smoke Out"- a true biker paradise, festival of debauchery and otherwise zany good time. This year happens to be their 20th anniversary, and if you're into that biker culture it's bound to be one you don't want to miss...

Many members of the Anvil Crew will no doubt have noticed the ever growing selection of men's silver accessories, including rings, cuffs, and wallet chains. Paired with the overwhelming response to our new premium wallet hardware, as well as the brass knucks it's clear that the demand is out there for these types of high quality items..

But why? Why does leather smell the way that it does? The smell of leather evokes smells of rustic cabins in the country. Cows definitely don't smell like that while they're grazing! The answer is fairly straight forward...

Ostrich leather can basically be divided into two sections, the quill area of the body, and the knee area. They're both highly durable, but feature some unique characteristics. And, if you're interested you can pick up a nice piece that is hand crafted from some of this high quality leather for 30% off.

Our wallet chain customers are typically pretty happy with their purchase. As a result, they tend to want to wear their chains everywhere. Occasionally we hear stories of panic however when a customer tries to take their chain onto an airplane, or to a concert, or some other event where maybe security doesn't allow such items...

We recently got a fresh batch of seat pans, so we decided to make a few premium seats...

The fact of the matter is, most of the belts you buy at the store are garbage... Belts are at their best when they're uncomplicated. Simple. We take 1, sometimes 2 (for exotic) strips of high quality leather and give them a clean crisp edge. We size them, sew them, wax them and then add the brass hardware. That's it. We don't cheap out on materials, we don't fuss on fancy details, we just care about the quality of the product you wear...

Celebrate Fat Tuesday in Style with this Purple and Green Alligator Combo from Anvil Customs
This practically juicy purple and green combo is the perfect set for someone looking for something a little bit more funky. So what are we looking at here...

We offer a couple of smaller, pocket style wallets for folks who don't necessarily carry a ton of stuff. Don't get us wrong, you can still shove plenty of stuff in a Sarasota... but it's probably going to limit your volume a little more than say a full size bifold would. We have two unique wallet styles, The "Puritan" and the "Sarasota." As well as a nifty Money Clip style wallet.

There are aspects of the internet that one might refer to as "elder" as in, "respect your elders." Before the concept of YouTube comments, before Facebook, yes even before the practically ancient "MySpace" there were Forums. As a company that cherishes things that are done the old fashioned way its no different with matters of the digital age.

I had a great question from a NEW Anvil Crew member today who messaged me.  He was wondering how it all worked as far as ordering an Anvil Wallet.  It made me think there might be others who are new or might need direction on How To Order.  Here’s what I told him:
