Anvil Customs Leather Blog

From time to time, I like to shout out my favorite people, things, places, etc.  Below is a short list of my current Likes.  If you've followed me for a while, you know I don't at all mind shouting out my liking of fellow leatherworkers who also are in the business.  So don't be surprised by my choices here, I would love to see everyone WIN at success....by now, you should know that.

Springfield Missouri is a beautiful town. It's where Anvil calls home, and it's also where the 8th annual "Birthplace of Route 66" festival is happening! If you're lucky enough to be in town be sure to stop by the shop and say hello!

...because if you are not Doing What You Love to do for a living, you're going to become frustrated with life.

As many of you know, the chopper seat is one of the fundamental reasons Anvil Customs' story began. We've been blessed with the chance to make some truly righteous bike seats over the years. That being said, this solo spring chopper is absolutely, hands down one of the best pans we've ever put together. The genuine alligator belly has some really great lines. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The antique wine color finish gives the seat a beautiful warm reddish hue and I cannot wait to see it on someones bike.

Today is opening day for Major League Baseball 2018. Are you hype? We certainly are. Obviously we root for our home team—The STL Cards around here but, honestly we're always happy with a good game. Here's some thoughts we've had around the shop.

ALSO! We actually still have a couple of these rad Yankees/Dodgers wallets that we tooled awhile back so you can support your team all season long! If you're interested, give them a peek!

We make wallets. We're pretty dang good at it too. In recent years we've seen an increase in people asking for RFID protecting liners in our products. Being a bit of a skeptic, we started poking around to see if there was any legitimacy in people's fears. Well, you might have noticed that we still don't make any wallets with RFID protection and here's why.

Anvil Customs is proud to call Springfield, Missouri home. This city has ton of great places to eat, drink and shop. Obviously, we're here so that's a given place to visit. But we thought we'd take a moment to shout out some new places, and some old favorites to check out while you're in town.

This group has been created for a couple of reasons. Namely, this group is to be a community where Fans of Anvil Customs Leather come to communicate with each other and us about the products they own and would love to see us craft in the future. Additionally, this is a place where Fans can Buy, Sell, Trade & Collect Anvil products.

If you're lucky enough to own one of our Chainmaille wallet chains, you know that they're some of the best money can buy. They're tough, they look incredible, and they're the perfect compliment to any Anvil Customs Chain wallet. Over the years we've had several types of weaves and styles, and more recently the collection has grown quite large.
